Hello, my name is Derek Altamirano. I'm 54 years old and have been using computers since the 5th grade. I am married to a wonderful wife, and have two sons, and a grandson.

I've been working on computers for what seems like an eternity. Although I am now a software engineer by trade, I have written many programs over the years starting when I was a teenager and I still enjoy doing so. I have written applications in many languages including Basic, Assembly Language, Visual Basic, Delphi, C#, C/C++, and Java. I've also build many websites both personally and professionally using different languages and technologies like PHP, Java, Typescript, Spring, Jersey, Symfony, and Laravel, and even pure HTML and javascript.

I gave up my gaming PC a long time ago, but you can find me on my Xbox Series X most weeks. Currently I am primarily playing Halo Master Chief Collection ( Xbox Series X ), Halo Infinite ( Xbox Series X ), and Battfield 2042 ( Xbox Series X ) . I currently live in Peoria, AZ. I also spent a couple of years in Carlsbad, CA, 7 years previously in Phoenix, AZ, and 14 years in Spokane, WA after growing up in Central California.
